Requirements

You need a computer with Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox and the Tampermonkey extension. Mobile browsers are not supported. The bot works on Gameforge Gladiatus servers (*.gladiatus.gameforge.com).

Install Tampermonkey from your browser store with the links above.
Chrome only: open chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode at the top right and, in the Tampermonkey details, allow user scripts. Without this permission Chrome runs no userscript at all.
Open the download link https://js.obot.it/gladiatus/obot-gladiatus.user.js. Tampermonkey recognises the script and shows its installation page.
Press Install. From then on the script updates by itself.
Reload the Gladiatus tab or enter your server: the oBot button appears on the page.

Manual installation

If the browser does not open the installation page, click the Tampermonkey icon, choose Create a new script, paste the whole text of https://js.obot.it/gladiatus/obot-gladiatus.user.js over the template and save with Ctrl+S.

Several games together

The Gladiatus script is different from the OGame and Ikariam ones and is installed separately: they can live together in Tampermonkey. The oBot accounts are separate (different tokens), but the same Telegram chat can receive the notices of all of them.

Updates

Tampermonkey checks by itself for a new version and updates the script: there is nothing to reinstall.
Before running the downloaded code the bot compares its SHA-256 fingerprint with the one published on the server: if they differ it does not start and tells you so.

Limits

The bot works only with a game tab open; with several tabs open only one works.
Chrome can suspend a background tab (Memory Saver, Energy Saver): while suspended the bot is stopped. When it happens the bot tells you, on the page and in the log, with the instructions: Chrome settings → Performance → «Always keep these sites active» → add the Gladiatus site.
The bot manages the account and server where you started it: if you log in with another account or on another server the panel tells you and asks whether to use the bot there (Use the bot on this account).
The oBot button does not appear on the Gameforge lobby, only inside the game server. On the lobby the script does one thing only: if the session expired and autologin is on, it presses Play on your character (see the Autologin section).
